PayWay Classic Credit Card API

PayWay is a simple, secure, internet-based solution to collect and manage customer payments.

About PayWay Classic Credit Card API

This page describes PayWay Classic Credit Card API.

PayWay Classic Credit Card API allows you to process credit card payments by passing full credit card details.

PayWay Classic Credit Card API requires you to be compliant with PCI-DSS SAQ D as your system must store and transmit credit card details.

Alternative modules

To reduce your PCI-DSS compliance scope, you can instead store credit card details using the PayWay Recurring Billing and Customer Vault module or process one-off payments using the PayWay Net module.

These modules have a comprehensive REST API.

Benefits

  • Full control - you are in complete control of the user experience
  • Fast - real-time response to each transaction request
  • Improved cash flow - same-day settlement for Mastercard, Visa and UnionPay transactions processed by 6pm AEST.

How it works

As your system stores and transmits credit card details, you must undertake the most difficult PCI-DSS compliance process.

  1. Your system obtains the credit card details from the cardholder
  2. Your system invokes the PayWay credit card API, passing card details and amount
  3. PayWay processes the payment, and responds with a receipt number and approved or declined
  4. Your system presents the response to the cardholder.
